Peace Dragon

Brandon
A young storyteller brings forth questions that stir from hearing tales of one survivor's story.
“I do not understand the fighting of man,” a reptilian voice sighed.
The cave was dimly lit by many candles and a lone man sat in a circle of candles, gazing into a crystal ball.
“All on one earth, do they not realize they slay their brothers and sisters?” the man muttered. The man had short white hair and was very old, wrinkles were set in his kind face as he looked at the ball with sadness. He watched as war was raged. Murders were committed and arguments led to catastrophe. Standing up, the old man wrapped his white robes about him and walked out of the cave.
The wind blew gently as he viewed snow peaked mountains. The man sighed more as he thought about the world and its people.
“Only if they could understand. If everyone loved and forgave one another this world could be as it should’ve been,” he spoke as he spread his arms out wide.
Slowly he began to change and distort. What had been old withered hands turned to claws and his back sprouted feathery wings. Snow white scales covered his body and his face grew large.
The Peace Dragon stretched as the transformation completed, his wings enjoying the cooling embrace of the gentle wind. He looked like a dragon seen in fairy tales, with white scales and hair with angelic wings. The kind face remained on its reptilian features as the dragon looked to the cloudy sky.
“I will help them see,” he decided and his wings began to beat. Soon he was flying high into the air and across great distances. He went to each town, Causing quite a stir but ending a second as he breathed fire across them. The fire did not burn flesh nor homes but sadness and hate, it was blue fire that did not bring pain but brought joy., from country to country, city to city, village to village he continued to breath his fire, it destroyed all hate until none was left and humanity knew the meaning of peace.
